SJC Celebrates Its 9th Year Anniversary

For 9 years, Social Justice Collaborative has devoted itself to helping asylum seekers regain their power and strength. What started as a two-person operation, founded by two lawyers fresh out of law school, has grown into a comprehensive legal services organization serving over 1,500 families each year.

In those 9 years, SJC has:

• •Won over 300 asylum cases
• •Provided legal representation to thousands of immigrant families
• •Obtained work authorization for hundreds of clients each year
• •Helped over 100 individuals obtain permanent residency annually
• •Established groundbreaking legal precedents in gender-based asylum claims
• •Launched the SIJS Task Force for unaccompanied minors
• •Built a pro bono network with major law firms across the Bay Area
• •Created the Behavioral Health program to support clients' mental wellbeing

But we're not done yet. We won't stop until every immigrant and refugee is welcomed with dignity.
